Some Idea

I was bored and considering the idea of using a zombie apocalypse as some sort of Role-Play.

However, the way I would want to shape it is that it's already in the apocalypse and focusing on a settled 'community' of survivors who are holding out in somewhere like an apartment complex. I hoped that by doing this there would be much more of an emphasis on character development instead of this continuous stream of mindless violence that we see in most Role-Plays.

I think I have a basis for the idea down, but I'm not going to doubt that it needs improvement.

I do like this idea. I was thinking maybe putting it more 10~20 years down the road. Gives everything a more established, fact of life tone. Gives us the ability to make it so a new generation of "survivor mentality" people are around, you know, people who were born and raised in the end of civilization with only the words of older people for knowledge of the old world. Sort of like how they did it with The Last of Us.

I was thinking more of a year or two in, where the infected or zombies aren't as lethal as they'd be when the outbreak happened, but they're also not an afterthought either. It'll still be a considerably stressful than a 'The Last of Us' type ordeal because of the focus on 'we need supplies now, we have infected to worry about, other bands of survivors, the bonds between people, etc'.

I honestly don't know yet, it's based on what direction people want the plot to head in. If it's heading in the direction of The Last of Us as Stereo proposed, then there's a possibility that it might be a mixture of both the fast-running hyper aggressive zombies and the one-bite zombies.

I think whichever one will make the RP more interesting is the route that people will take.

I think that it should be a sort of mix of the two, with the zombies having "mood swings" that could factor into the situation.
I may or may not have gotten the idea from Organ Trail, where zombies can be docile, aggressive, or anywhere inbetween.

I think that developing the mentality of the primary/secondary antagonists like that will likely be a problem. If we predetermine the mood in which zombies/infected will be in automatically, then I think it might get boring after a while. I mean, we certainly can and it might add a new roll of 'danger'.

Adding some form of random rolling to the status of the zombies would definitely spice things up.
Having stagnant variables is annoying.
