Househeadism Role-Play

Post by Vero on Sun 13 May 2012, 7:59 pm

Going to take a crack at the plot.

It's been several hundred years since Househeadism was born by a group of rag-tag mercenaries. As the centuries went by, it grew with prestige and reputation. Wherever a Househeadism Mercenary was seen, regardless of the three branches, the enemy almost always quivered and ran away from the epic tales they are known for. And as the galaxy expanded, so did the company. Now Househeadism has to face its biggest threat. The colonies of Earth, 29 in all, are at civil war, including Earth itself. Househeadism has nearly been ripped in half as soldiers take sides over values and their families. But even among this confusion and chaos, those who can rise to continue tradition do so, even if it means they will be facing there fellow colleagues on the battlefield.

Just saying, but we shouldn't have armor like from Star Wars or shit.

We should have it lower-tech then that. Just so it makes sense.

It is several hundred years, so you'd at least expect that kind of armor to be worn.

Just throwing out ideas. The factions could be from different areas, or be influenced by a paticular region. Influenced by heritage, culture, and/or customs of colonists from different regions of the world, or even from local governments on Earth.

This is a civil war, remember. I guess humanity had one big world-wide government in this, but they splintered into other factions. As you know, that's a civil war. There is the main faction which rebelled because they aren't allowed to use communism. Then there's Earth and her allies which could've splintered too.

Different governments could've taken charge of their colonies in the wake of the rebellion and split from the main Earth government.

The European faction wants to bring back the days of the European Union, in which Europe goverened it self, which is today. They are imboldened by the rebel faction, and sees that it is possible to split. I'm debating wether to make their Capitol Paris or Berlin. These are good places since they are in Central Europe, and easily reinforced in the event of a landing from orbit. They are a pro-West organization and may be inclined to help the old Earth government based in the Americas.

Asia has a similar predicament. They are pro-East un-surprisingly, and based in either Russia or China, since they are the main super powers in the East.

So, we got the main 4 political factions. We need the 2 main PMC groups. Househeadism is obviously one.

How about for a second PMC...

Black Division
A Former Black Operations Unit, Black Division was once the secret pride of one of the old Governments, but splintered long ago, working under a new mantra of 'If you have to Deny the Action, it's a Shitty Action', and taking up arms for the highest bidder, although this is not commonly known. Most don't know that they are actually a Private Military Contractor, and think that they are actually an independent organisation working for their own secretive goals. Over time, more Black Operations Units have been added to their ranks, making them rather varied in appearance and skillset.

Not everyone; cause it wouldn'a be interesting. At least have everyone get wounded badly.
No, not the little 'OGH! SHOT IN DE ARM' but 'OGH!SHUTINDESTOMACHSLEEPTIME'. But I agree; some of us should die, but let the RP run its' course. Let the deaths happen with random occurance and with reason. Not because some people think you should die.

Chill with that.

Years:
Between 2400-2500

Fighting Causes:
Colonies in poverty demand to have Communism brought in to give their economies boosts before returning back to the traditional capitalism. When the United Earth Council rejects the multiple proposals, the colonies erupt into mass chaos and begin arming for war, supported by richer colonies which understand their cause and have the need to help them out.
