The infection takes hold of their brain and puts the human body into a coma. Therefore it technically takes control of the body.

Bearman: A Bearman is really just a construction worker whom was infected. Bearmen have a general resistance to pain, and go on more than the average infected individual. Construction workers will carry their tools sometimes and use them as weapons.
-As said in general description. Bearmen prefer to go it solo, but in some cases have poses of 3 or 4.

Wanderer: These things? Oh, virtually harmless. They will barely notice the presence of a human being, and tend to actually avoid them in most cases. But don't piss one off. Wanderers generally lean on walls, or sit on benches. When pissed, they generally pull a weapon of somesorts and USE it. They are intelligent enough to use a firearm, and RELOAD a firearm. They are generally very docile.
- Very docile, but if disturbed, they will use a weapon. These creatures are generally afraid of humans, but don't tick 'em off.
Very intelligent.


Cleaners: Cleaners are scavengers. Any corpse with a strip of meat, and they'll be there. But, if they see a living thing, they will go ballistic, and rush at an almost inhuman rate. Cleaners are relatively weak, and dumb. They cannot think for themselves, and require that one push to get them going.
-Very dumb, easily controlled by more intelligent infected. Scavenger by heart, but go ballistic at the sight of a living thing.

Dogs- Dogs. Need say anymore? They basically just hunt for food like a wolf pack. 4-9 pack size.
- Got a doggy bone? Didn't think so.

Walker: Walkers are infected that generally tend to control less intelligent infected. Walkers are generally very weak, but are surrounded by ten to twenty other less intelligent infected. These folks are quite the smart potato. They can do a variety things. Open doors, access the sewer, etc.
-Very smart. Generally surrounds itself with other infected to protect it's frail body. Once killed, the controlled infected generally kill, and eat each other. Rare.


Keen Ones: A Keen One is a blind, smell-less, deaf, and mute infected. They walk on all fours. Keen Ones have increased sense of touch in their finger and toe tips. So increased, they can detect the vibration of another thing in it's presence, effective to about twenty feet. Keen Ones stay still until they pick up a vibration. Keen Ones do NOT prejudice. They kill ANYTHING that they detect. Other infected, humans, and any surviving animals.
-Very keen on sensing vibrations. Completely useless with it's other sense. Generally fly it solo in pitch black areas where they cannot be seen. They will take on any single thing it finds. Even things bigger than itself. Not too common. Be very afraid of the dark...

Rocks: Rocks are extremely strong, but very stupid. Rocks are generally extremely built, and get a boost from the infection. Rocks are very solo kind, destroy and killing anything that gets in it's way.
- See that? That's MY cousin. Now how about we talk negotiations now. Extremely rare.

Nightmares: Nightmares are your worst... well, nightmare. They have flaps underneath their arms that enable them to glide great distances, or swoop an unsuspecting survivor. Nightmares have mutated a sinister beak, and razor sharp claws on it's tows, and it's hands are a very long knife.
- Nightmares are gliders, and glide a good 200 feet on a good jump. Nightmares are quite rare, and very difficult to find. Taking that you're trying to commit suicide. Very aggressive.

The Holy Shit: The Holy Shit is a monster of the infected. It is a genius by comparison. It will control a good 50 to 75 infected, or more. They are almost normal in appearance. They are capable of intelligent speech.
-Obey HypnoToad! Holy Shits are EXTREMELY rare, and EXTREMELY intelligent. They are capable of intelligent speech, and will negotiate with some survivor strongholds that outnumber it's horde.

Mutated-

Soldier: The soldier is an infected human whom was in law enforcement or the Military. Their skin was mutated so that it was nearly as strong as steel. Soldiers still remember their previous training and tactics. Soldier generally travel together with other soldiers in packs of 8-20. Upon seeing a human they take them out simply, and use more diverse tactics to take out larger groups of enemies. Soldiers carry varieties of weapons. They are extremely intelligent in battle.

Heavily Mutated-

Devastator: This infected has nearly a 100% infected bloodline. Devastator's stand as tall as a 2 story house. They have claws as long as a 10 foot tree, and a explosion only makes them stumble. They are extremely stupid, but pursue their enemy until it is no longer possible. Devastators generally run after potential prey on all fours, and can make out at speeds up to 50 miles per hour. Devastators have huge flaps of unused skin, and when called upon, spread and let the giant beast soar for at least 100 yards. Devastators are extremely rare, and the only way to get rid of one is outrunning it with a car or luring it into a trap.

Mutated -

Long Legs: The long legs is an infected with extremely long legs. Long legs use their longer legs to travel greater distances, and travel faster than most infected. Long legs generally are used as scouts in large hordes, and when traveling in groups or alone they target single humans or animals to kill. Long legs can only take as much punishment as a regular common infected, and rarely attack human groups.

The Bone Eater (Mutated): The bone eater is a two headed infected that will strip flesh off of animals and humans and will ONLY eat the bones. Bone Eaters are very solo fly. Bone Eaters are aggressive when provoked. Bone Eaters jaws are mandibles that are super powered. Its claws strip meat to the bone.
- Hope you weren't using that arm. Rarer than hell.

Heavily Mutated-

Predator: A predator has a 95% or more infected bloodline. The predator's skin is heavily mutated, taking on a jet black color. The skin is now more like armored plates, which fall off every few days as the predator continues to grow new ones. Predators have mutated where they can only walk on 4 legs instead of 2, have grown a tail, and their head is elongated. Predator's possess 8 inch long teeth and have completely blood red eyes. Predators claws have the ability to dig into steel, and they are extremely agile. Predators pursue their prey relentlessly, until their prey makes a false move and they savagely kill it. The makeup of a predators head does not resemble anything human, rather more of a tigers head.

Strongholds:

Taradale: Taradale is a stronghold with a population of around 1,000 people. The stronghold is a whole town with a large wall of scrap 10 feet tall. The gate is roughly made from metal grates, and a lock that could be broken by a large infected. The "Wall" is built in a square to surround the small town. On two corners there are two 105 mm cannons taken from a military base 15 miles away. The wall is barely a foot thick, and can barely support the recoil of the cannons. On the other one, three machine guns, also looted from the military base.

Even though the wall is ready for an attack, a great deal of the civilians in the town are unarmed, due to previous people looting the bases.

Taradale is located in north western Ohio. They have a convoy that can only support 200 people, and could only get it about 250 miles.

Taradale has a very well stocked food supply that could last the population around a month, if it is rationed. However, with the population comes the occasional murder over food and water.

Safe Houses: As the outbreaks started, the government put people under martial law to construct safe houses. These safe houses are known for there jet black 15 pound steel doors. Inside the safe houses the walls are reinforced poorly by people nailing steels, iron, or even tin to the walls. Each safe house is equipped with a second floor, which is just 4 feet of floorboard which extends from the walls. A window which is jet black and barred. It can only be opened from the inside. Safe houses are generally stocked with crates of ammunition, weapons, food and water. As people began to get infected, these safe houses were sacked.

Relatively few food and water supplies remained along with ammunition and weapons.

Strongholds (Military)

Blood City - One of the smallest, yet most well fortified strongholds of survivors around, they have only 130 or so survivors, most of them former soldiers and veterans, reclaiming almost a quarter a city, and setting up tiny farms within the city. Their wall is absolutely massive, being built from a concrete base and then reinforced with anything that is metal or stone. There are also about twenty machineguns and a single artillery cannon looted from a military base some miles ago, using military trucks. A network of lights has been strung around the wall to alert survivors to its presence and attract them towards Blood City for refuge. The problem is that this stronghold's large, thick walls coupled with an array of lights makes it a big target, and is attacked almost daily. As a result, the ground around the stronghold has been stained almost permanently with blood and bits of bodies, giving the stronghold its name. They are located in Tennessee. The area around Blood City used to be relatively quiet, allowing the stronghold to build up, but since then it has been a hotspot for infected activity. Thankfully, nothing large has been detected... yet.


The Kitchen - A fortified airport and surrounding buildings in New Mexico make up this stronghold. Though managed by fewer survivors than normal, only about 50 or so soldiers, but the stronghold has lasted due to a tough wall, and the use of gratuitous amounts of deadly traps filling the area around The Kitchen in a half-mile radius, and the use of fortified "last stand" posts where a single survivor, for some reason, is banished to from The Kitchen and forced to use the weapons inside the post to kill as many of the infected as possible. These are sometimes abandoned or over-run, though rarely, and are a great source for military grade weapons and food. Almost every survivor equipped with an explosive or fire-based weapon, giving the stronghold its name. The survivors have grown somewhat paranoid and insane and are generally avoided unless it is necessary to contact them.

Giant worm: The Giant worm is the result of a worm becoming infected. The worm will slowly grow to about 30- 100 feet long, with massive teeth. The giant worms burrow underground, using their enhanced sense of smell to detect possible food sources. The Giant worms are very rare.
